Da Van is a family daily driver we use for everything from getting groceries to trips to the zoo.  The sound system is a fair mix of SQ and SPL with 1900RMS watts of power.  The brains of the operation is a simple Pioneer Premier DEH-P670MP CD/MP3/WAV player with Front/Rear/Subwoofer outputs which allows us to turn the subs off from the head unit whenever the kiddies are loaded for a ride.  Power for the system is delivered via 1/0 guage power and ground wires, an Exide Orbital battery, 8 Farad capacitor and of course a Big 3 upgrade.  The highs are handled by Hifonics 6.5" Atlas AS6.2C components mounted in MDF rings in the factory locations with a generous application of RaamMat BXT on the inner and outer door skins, powered by a Hifonics ZXi6006 delivering 300RMS watts x2 channels into 2ohms.  The bass is handled by a pair of 12" Hifonics Brutus BX12D2 subwoofers in custom built ported tube enclosures that can be removed when the space is needed, powered by a Hifonics BXi2006D delivering 1300RMS watts into 2ohms.  The system has a very clean overall sound with a slightly bass heavy tonal balance (personal preference) and enough SPL to move your hair around.
